This position is an opportunity to join our fast-growing company as a Compliance Officer, you will ensure Aspen RxHealth operates in a legal and ethical manner while meeting our business objectives. You’ll coordinate with senior management to identify potential risks, implement policies and procedures to uphold laws and regulations, and monitor the company’s adherence to those policies and procedures.

General Accountabilities
• Oversees the day-to-day functions of the corporate compliance and privacy program.
• Responds to internal and external corporate inquiries in relation to corporate governance matters.
• Periodic revision of Corporate Compliance Program considering changes in the organization’s needs, and in the statutes, rules, regulations, and requirements of Federal and State health care programs.
• Continuously monitor the overall effectiveness of the Compliance Program and related activities; identifying gaps, implementing remediation plans; working cooperatively with business units. Stay current with changes relevant to the industry.
• Report on a regular basis to the CEO, governing body, and compliance committee on the activities of the compliance program.
• Develop and coordinate an educational and training program for employees on the elements of the compliance program, including compliance and HIPAA privacy-related trainings, and ensure employees are knowledgeable of relevant federal and state regulations.
• Ensure that independent contractors who provide services in the organization are aware of the compliance program.
• Monitoring activities, conducting and overseeing all internal investigations to include FWA, HIPAA, and general compliance concerns including document findings, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring prompt resolution.
• Promote awareness and understanding of the organizations Code of Business Conduct.
• Work closely with IT to ensure the privacy and security practices of the organization’s information.
• Creates and revises compliance and HIPAA privacy-related job aides and communications to inform of updates or changes to regulations. Manages required breach determination and notification processes under HIPAA and applicable State breach rules (where applicable) and requirements.
• Reviews all updated CMS Chapters and creates training on revisions and changes.
• Subject matter expert in Privacy and Compliance providing practical guidance and solutions when complex and/or technical issues arise.
• Responds timely to requests received from vendors, clients, regulatory authorities, Company affiliates, and internal customers relating to regulatory compliance initiatives, licensing, and related processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications/Skills
• Bachelor’s degree or greater
• Minimum of 3+ years in compliance/healthcare risk. Knowledge and experience in state and federal information privacy laws, including but not limited to HIPAA.
• Familiarity with operational, quality assurance, human resource procedures, and CMS regulations.
• Must be comfortable to maintain open lines of communication; effective communicator; professional speaker and presenter
• A strategic thinker that approaches risk management from a pragmatic perspective.
• Excellent written, computer, and oral communication to diverse populations
• Positive, proactive team-oriented approach/attitude
• Well-honed organizational skills
